Do you want to make your other half's eyes shine for a romantic stay in Paris?

To make your romantic getaway to Paris a success, we would like to whisper a few ideas for walks and addresses that are sometimes known only to insiders, but which, we assure you, will make your trip to one of the most beautiful cities in the world unforgettable.

3 Ideas for rustic and charming walks in Paris

Ponts des Arts Paris
  • Start at the Royal Palace, cross the Louvre courtyard and after a detour through the Tuileries garden, cross the Seine by the Pont des Arts. In the past, lovers used to hang padlocks on them as odes to their oaths of eternal love. Today, this is no longer allowed, but the view of Île de la Cité and the Seine remains as splendid as ever. Once on the left bank, head for Furstenberg Square. When night falls, the only lamppost lights up and the magic happens... There's nothing like it to enhance your romantic evening.

  • Another nice walk is the Montmartre hillock. If the weather is nice, take the stairs that lead to the esplanade in front of the basilica. Let yourself be carried away by the maze of small streets, and don't forget to stop at the "Lapin Agile". In front of this cabaret passed to posterity is a bench hidden by trees. Do as the locals do: settle down and you will immediately feel the romantic soul that will make the time stand still... Montmartre is obviously on our list of places to visit in Paris and this neighborhood is perfect for a romantic stay.

  •  A romantic weekend is also the perfect opportunity to stroll through the gardens of the Musée de la Vie Romantique. This large house surrounded by greenery isa temple dedicated to romantic art and literature. Entrance is free, and you can take a break in the tea-room under the greenhouse. For fans on the left bank, the Rodin Museum and its rose garden remain a must on the sunny days for a successful romantic stay.

3 romantic breaks for food lovers in Paris

  1. Tender gazes will not be enough to satisfy your hunger! So treat yourself to some delights, take a walk to the Jacquemart André Museum. In this splendid 19th-century residence, a dining room or a pretty intimate terrace will invite you in for a delicious moment.

  2. In the same spirit, the very intimate café Guitry, at place Édouard VII, will guarantee you of a unique moment. Between Madeleine and Opéra, you will be sheltered from the hustle and bustle in an intimate and relaxing place after a few hours of shopping.

  3. For a more unusual date, go to the restaurant "Sur un Arbre Perché" for a romantic dinner. Curl up in small huts or on swings. Book your table for the evening is recommended, especially on Valentine's Day!

In a completely different vein, a romantic dinner on a river boat will allow you to see the lights of Paris during a cruise. To finish off the evening, get up high. Enjoy cocktails at the rooftop bar "Le Terrass Restaurant" overlooking the Montmartre hillock. The panorama over Paris is simply idyllic for a romantic weekend in Paris.
