These modifications will come into force as soon as published on the website Thalys.com, the website Thalysinside.com, the mobile Thalys website, or on the mobile Thalys application.
The present general conditions are in addition to the special conditions valid for each type of product or service offered on the abovementioned websites or application, where applicable, by Thalys’ Partners.
“IZY Thalys” means the train service that runs in Belgium and France, as well as the different brands and distinctive signs used under the name IZY Thalys.
“THI Factory” means the Belgian public limited liability company, whose head office is located at Place Stéphanie, 20 in 1050 Brussels (VAT registration BE 0541.696.005, BTR Brussels), which holds a rail operating licence and a safety certificate valid in France and in Belgium, allowing it to operate lines on the Belgian and French rail networks in order to provide passenger transport services between France and Belgium.
“Thalys International” means the Belgian limited liability co-operative company whose registered office is located at Place Marcel Broodthaers, 4 in 1060 Brussels (VAT registration BE 0455.370.557, BTR Brussels) and which is the company responsible for developing and defining the implementation of policies for services offered to Passengers on Thalys high-speed trains in order to increase the economic activity of SNCF (Société nationale des chemins de fer français - French Railways) and SNCB (Société nationale des chemins de fer belges – Belgian Railways).
The “IZY website” refers to the site and the web pages operated under the domain or trade name IZY.com.
The "mobile IZY website" refers to the site and web pages operated under the domain or trade name Thalys.com, adapted for use by smartphone.
The "mobile IZY application" refers to the mobile application operated under the domain or trade name Thalys.com, adapted for use by smartphone.
“Partner(s)” refers to any supplier of products and/or services to which the website IZY.com, the mobile IZY website, or the mobile IZY application offers access.
"Smartphone" refers to any type of smartphone compatible with the website IZY.com, the mobile IZY website, or the mobile IZY application.
“You” or “the User” refers to any User of the website IZY.com, the mobile IZY website, or the mobile Thalys application who books, orders and/or buys any Product and Service offered on the aforementioned websites or application, or by its Partners.

The User undertakes:
In the event that the user of the website IZY.com, the mobile IZY website, or the mobile IZY application should fail to comply with his/her obligations, Thalys reserves the right to prohibit and immediately block access to said websites or application, to prohibit access to its network without repayment of any tickets bought, and will take out proceedings for the payment of compensation. Furthermore, the user agrees to hold harmless from and exonerate Thalys of all responsibility in the event of losses, damage, cost and expenses suffered by Thalys as a result of the user failing to comply with his/her obligations.
In the event that one or more clauses of these general terms and conditions are held to be invalid, unlawful or cannot be implemented, all other clauses shall remain valid and shall continue to bind the Parties.
These general terms and conditions are available in French, Dutch and English versions. In the event that any one of the clauses of these general terms and conditions needs to be interpreted, the French version shall prevail.
Any dispute relating to the validity, interpretation, application or non-application of the rights and obligations connected with the use of these general terms and conditions is subject to Belgian law. Disputes may only be brought before the Brussels courts.
